Rear axle swap - which ratio?

I would 150% go with the TrueTrac for a mostly street driven truck. A truetrac is always on, even if you are just pulling out of a side street into fast traffic. The e-locker is annoying to have to manually engage when driving around, and would really only have an advantage in extreme situations. Even then, you can fake the Truetrac into acting like a locker by riding the brakes a little. I have a locker in my 2014, I wish I had an LSD.
I have truetracs front and rear in my Liberty CRD and they are fantastic. I can go most places in 2wd and when it gets really hairy I can usually just go to AWD mode(open center diff in tcase) and it will claw its way through. Rarely do I need 4hi or 4lo.

Doesn't appear the Truetrac is made for the 8.8 axle though. It would be the best thing to install though if they did.

At the 2:30 point he says that they put the trac-loc unit in it from a Mustang. That would infer that aftermarket units for the '15+ Mustang might also work.
As I said way back, if I had a Super 8.8 in my truck, I'd call VMP and see if they can help.

I read your earlier post but was waiting for some sort of corroboration... and you are correct; I could have called VMP.
Thank you for the reminder! I'll call them in a bit and will start laying aside the funds for this project (which is in line after two household priorities, dagnabbit). I'm still planning, though!
Again, I appreciate it.

No worries...I even question half the stuff that I think I thought I knew from somewhere.
Feel for you!!! I'm getting quotes to concrete my driveway, add two parking spaces, and a carport.
My vehicle fun budget is looking to be zero $$$ for the rest of the year...or more.
At least my truck will be sitting on concrete under a carport soon!!!

Hell, with a tune my truck will pull my travel trailer along at 1500 rpm no problem and its smooth. I think DI does a lot to make lugging a non-issue.
