Default Radiator and transmission cooler upgrade?

I am looking to upgrade my truck to tow my boat better on long trips and to keep it cooler when driving on soft sand at the beach and steep grades in the mountains and to stay cool when stuck in traffic towing a trailer.

I have a 2015 5.0 4x4 with the heavy duty trailer tow package. It is rated to tow 9100 pounds per the door sticker and my boat is a little bit under 6000 pounds.

The truck has a transmission cooler in front of the radiator but it is small. Is there a bigger one available that works good with these trucks?

also from what I can tell ford makes a bigger oem radiator that comes with the max tow package? It is about $250 on the inter web.

Does it really have more capacity to get rid of heat? Is there a good aftermarket radiator?

You already have the max cooling system available from Ford as OEM equipment in your 2015,

Not OEM. For 2015, the regular tow pkg that Ford calls the heavy duty tow pkg includes the max "plug and play" tranny cooler available from Ford. If you observe tranny temps over 225° on the digital gauge, then the only upgrade is an aftermarket oil to water (OTW) heat exchanger replacing the OEM heat exchanger. There are several choices available , but most require custom mounting and plumbing. Here's one that should bolt right in to your F-150, but may require an adapter in the ATF lines, and I did not verify that it will be better than the stock heat exchanger.

Summit Racing is a good source for bigger heat exchangers- but check the specs to be sure it has more cooling capacity than your stock heat exchanger. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/d.../applications/

Check the model year. It's not for your 2015.
