Default Question on **** mirrors

I bought a pair of the **** slip on mirrors for towing our TT. They fit well, work well and I have no real issue with them but I do have a question. When I fold my mirrors in it looks like they stop maybe 1/4" before the normally "stowed" position would be. This is because the frame of the ****'s makes contact with the window frame of the truck. It doesn't seem like it is putting any strain on the OEM mirror system but I figured I'd ask if this has ever caused anybody any trouble. I prefer to fold them in vs. removing them when we're at a campsite but I could take them off if it might cause damage to the OEM components.

Thanks!

They rub in the exact same spot with mine as well. Personally, I think they'd be okay to fold in, I prefer not to possibly scratch that rubber so I leave mine out, not folded in. I have the chrome caps on my mirrors so I lined the inside of the **** extenders with blue painters tape, works well, not a scratch after 3-4 times I've used them so far.

After thinking about it and looking at it a little more closely, I think I might be able to shave a little off the plastic of the **** mirror to get clearance.

I think you can as well. Let us know, I might do it as well if you have success
