Default ProPride hitch VS Pro Backup Assist

I know that many, if not most of you who tow, know how to back a trailer so prefer not to use the backup assist. But for those who do want to try it, I wanted to pass along this little tidbit from another forum.

One of the dimensions that you need to enter during setup is the distance from license plate to the ball center. If using the ProPride, that is likely to be around 23". The max allowable is 16 1/2", so this hitch and possibly others won't work!

FWIW, I read over on the Airstream Forum that there are at least 2 ProPrides that have been setup to work with the Backup Assist, so it can be done.
