Default Pro Trailer Sticker or Sensor

I have a 2023 F150 XLT. I did see any stickers with my truck, so I connected a trailer and calibrated it without a sticker (or sensor). It seemed to be functioning, but I just did it yesterday.

I guess the question is, do I really need a sticker?

The sticker should be in the small package of documents you received when you picked up the truck. If you have lost that, they're available on amazon etc.
You need quite alot of room to set it up. I set mine up but discovered its just another thing to learn and I can back up just fine without it. Even into my driveway which is a 90 reverse turn to the passenger side.

I don't think it's working. You don't need anything for hitch assist but pro trailer back up assist (driving with the dash ****) won't work without either a sticker or yaw sensor. I'm thinking that after a couple years of the new model being able to use sensor or sticker they might've defaulted back to sticker? A friend's 2021 came set up for only sensor which at the time were something like $200 each and the truck had to be recoded for the stickers to work.

Per Mr Google, it needs the sticker. Maybe the salesman can grab you a couple, or
Amazon Amazon

That's the weird thing. It was most certainly working. I used the little dial. It wasn't that helpful until I got, the trailer mostly lined up (I have a trailer with almost no clearance getting into a garage). But the wheel was turning when I adjusted the *** and it did a good job of keeping the trailer straight
with me never touching the wheel. Overall, not sure how much I will use it, but it did seem beneficial for my use case.

I found it very strange that it did the whole calibration thing without the sticker. When I googled today it said it would give me an alert if it couldn't "see" the sticker but it never did. The calibration did take several attempts. Not sure if that is normal or because I didn't have the sticker.

That being said, I did find the stickers, so I will probably put one on next weekend.

Obviously your truck has a ghost. I'd sell it or at least call a priest.

Did you buy new or used? If used, perhaps someone else did it and your trailers are similar.

When you hooked up your trailer for the first time, did you got thru the steps to add it?

It was new, an no trailers appeared on the list and I went through all the step (name trailer, length, width). I actually tried another trailer a few months ago and I thought it wouldn't calibrate because I was trying to do it on a neighborhood street without enough room to turn. Maybe it didn't because it didn't have a sticker, or both.

Anyway, apparently, I definitely should have the sticker, so I will add it. I guess I probably need to calibrate it again too.

Priest called! I always wondered who kept turning on the lights as I approached the truck.
