Plow package option
I believe all it is, is the v8 5.0 setup that has bigger alternator than a 3.3 or 3.5 or 2.7. ( I think) Also a diverter button than shuts off some accessories, such a heated seats, head steering wheels etc. They say it will mess with other electrical components but I'm not really sure.. Now ford tells you not to put a plow on anything but a plow prep f150 but it can be done.. After building up dodge 1500s and other half ton trucks it can be done with money n parts.. I do not advise this unless you own the truck out right or dont care about warrantys... The parts to make it a worthy plow truck would be, a bigger alternator and battery, trans cooler bigger or add one, a leveling kit or 3 inch lift. LT tires rated E or D. HD coils can be done, and up grade the guage wiring for battery, alternator, starter and ground. It will work, do I advise it no. Now some will say buy a hd truck well I get it cause I have older hd trucks. Though f250 or that class is more money n payments. This is if you dont care and want to install it yourself. Because plow manufacturers will not install even the mount if it doesnt have plow prep. I've seen 8ft hd plows on ram 1500 and tundras etc.. I will be doing build in fall I'll show.
