Default Old boat

This is probably a bad question, no need to reply saying it. Unless it's not..
I had a boat before that was sold. I want to know aproximately how heavy it was and how much weight it was putting on my truck (2002 f150 5.4 supercrew fx4 no it wasn't a lariat) It was a 2005 crestliner 1800 serenity recreational boat with one axle "one wheel on each side". It had a GIGANTIC 135 honda out board at the back.The back went down like 1 or two inches but handled like a 1000 lb trailer. Truck has no mods. I'm guessing it was like 3000lbs and like 1000lbs on the truck. I Terrible at this stuff!

Not enough info. If the boat and trailer were set up correctly It should have had 10 to15% of the total wt. on the hitch. [ 300 to 450 lbs] not enough to be consequential
Seems a moot point if the boat has been sold.

That 18 foot boat with the 135 hp Honda with one axle trailer was in between 3 and 4K lbs. I know that's a large range but given info provided, that is best I could do. I am thinking 3.5K lbs may be close, + or - a couple hundred pounds. Hope this helps.

I think 3500 lb. is very close. I personally can't envision that package hitting 4000 pounds.

So after a few minutes on google this is what I found...
Boat dry=1470
Motor dry=478
Full tank of gas=240
Trailer=600
Misc gear=200

Total=2988lbs

So 3000 lbs is a good guess, with approx 300-350 lbs tongue weight.
Hope this helps...

Does that mean my truck is totally capable of hauling a bout about two times that weight and size?

Probably. However, there are other factors to look at like Gross Combined Weight, etc. If you look in the towing section of your owners manual, it will give you a great explanation of how to determine what weight you can safely tow.
