Default OEM Brake Controller 2018

Bought an OEM brake controller, and installed in the dash. I went to the dealer to have it enable it,they said its good.I went home hooked up the trailer and see the gain control on my dash display, but I cannot adjust the gain, it stays at 0. I took the trailer for a drive, and applied the brake, and move the slide bar you can feel the trailer brake engage but no change on the gain or an output bar it shows. Is there something wrong with my controller or maybe the dealer didn't active something? Any help or suggestions I would appreciate it.

Three things,
1. The 2016+ uses a newer TBC, the older 2015 TBCs will not work with it. You need model GL3Z-2C006-CB or newer TBC.
2. Check under the hood for fuse 24, on some 2018s they did not populate that fuse, no blades to plug it in. If that is the case you will need to install TBC Jumper wiring kit JL3Z-14A411-C to get it working
3. For some reason, on some 2018 the Ford IDS sometimes will show the ITBC as activated when it's not, so the dealer will just need to reprogram it again, as it usually takes on the 2nd try.

thanks the model brake controller I purchased is below, and the truck is a 2018

Dasbecan Trailer Brake Controller Compatible with Ford F150 2015-2019 Dash Trailer Brake Control Module Kit FL3Z-19H332-AA, FJ3Z-19H332-AA

I guess I will return it and get the one you said, thanks for the information,if that doesnt solve my issue, I will go back to the dealer and have them reprogram it again
I did check, and I have the fuse slot, 24, with a fuse in it , and it has the pins

Just an FYI folks have had trouble with knockoff brake controllers. Once they buy a genuine Ford OEM controller everything works as expected.

The cost of the Ford units are so cheap, the other ones aren't worth the savings.
