Default Monitoring Camera

Hello, I have a 2014 F-150 3.5L with shell. I was thinking of getting a monitoring camera to be installed on shell monitoring the trailer that I am towing. Any suggestion on which product?

You wire it as I have to be powered by the running light circuit of your trailer. That way you could use the headlight switch to turn on / off. I have two on my fifth wheel one out back as an observation camera and the other does double duty on the pin box or over the doorway.

I was thinking of using a Garmin Dash Cam Mini it is a wireless dash cam. It uses wifi and an app on the phone. I was thinking of dedicating an old phone as the viewer. I have them as dash cams and they work great. I have not used them for this use case yet, but have been thinking about it.

Here's the picture of my truck and trailer. I was thinking of putting the camera above the 3rd stoplight on the shell facing the trailer.

I have the said garmin cams mounted on the front and back window. My major concern would be the Wi-Fi reaches your phone Depending on where are you mount it. Nice thing is you only need a power wire

I am thinking a mounting one on the back my travel trailer. I will experiment in the next few days.
