Default mirror extensions

Does anyone have an opinion on aftermarket slip on (over existing) mirror extensions for towing? 2008 f150 Lariat. I tow at least every 2 months but once a month most of the time shorter distances for now.

I bought the K source mirrors off Amazon. I'm in two minds about the. Primarily, I think, they don't really add much over the stock unit. If they were bigger or perhaps provided a wider field of view I might feel more positive about them.

On the other hand, the extra width helps me gauge the trailer width better.
Pro-tip, any ice on your factory mirror will stop you from clipping them on.

I've been using K Source clip-ons. If you can get them on sale I'd recommend them.

I use Snap on mirrors and they work perfectly fine. I only pull my travel trailer maybe 6-10 a year, and they give me the added look especially down the passenger side that I like. These are what I use, obviously change for your year

Do yourself a favor and just buy OEM tow mirrors. They are great. Put them on and you can see what's happening behind you, and they pretty much eliminate the blind spots. They are a little expensive, and get more so as you add bells and whistles depending upon your truck's build But they are super easy to install. If you can't tell, I love mine. Take care.

I used the 'Snap and Zap' on my 2010 quite a bit; those mirror caps were like an ABS plastic that I didn't have to worry about scratching. They worked well, frankly. Still have them, but no use for them now.
I bought a pair for my 2020 and used them once; my Lariat has painted mirror caps and I just don't want to risk scratching them.

I have chrome plastic mirrors and felt the same way. I lined the inner of the snap on mirrors with blue painters tape, woks great, no scratches after 4+ years.

I put mine on again for a trip tomorrow into a snow and ice storm while towing. Even in freezing weather the K mirrors can be easily fitted as long as you don't have ice on the truck's mirror.
