Max towing
1400# is a tough payload even for a Lariat. My ‘15 has 1657# and I wish it was a little higher. Do you have the 7000# GVWR?
I think OP is is great shape with a good WDH. Payload, gears and engine all check out. I tow an 8000# TT with very little issue. Keep it slow and steady and I can’t see any problem.

1400 on a Lariat tells us it's almost surely a 2.7 truck with a lower GVWR
WB is 145 and yes, Max Tow was option. At time of purchase, my priorities were minimal, Max Tow, tow mirrors, 3.5 EB. Had spoken to some owners and all said the EB was great towing, etc. I'll agree, it does the job, but I believe the 250 would do it easier, being a heavier tow vehicle. 250 has more payload, towing capability and weighs almost 3K more. Should have done more homework.
Max tow required the 6.5ft bed in 2015. The longer lever you get with the stretched wheelbase is part of what makes it max tow.
I concur. Some F150's can tow that much fairly easily, but it will never be as easy as an F250 can do it. If you are going to be hitting up a lot of track weekends, and/or like being as rested as possible when you get there and also when you get back home, F250.

Would like to but, 2021 trucks, especially the 250's are collecting dust due to the semiconductor chip shortage. Gonna wait and consider a 2022, unless FOMOCO decides to discount all the dust collecting F250's in order to make room for the 2022's. My guess is they will need to in order to move the overstock.
