I have to Trojan 6 volts on the front frame, along with two 20 lb propane tanks. They are full...and so is the fresh water tank in this case. I may put some weight in the truck also, in the front of the box. Try to force the back end down a bit. Then I can shift some of that weight back and forth as required with the WDH.

As long as you have your 10-15% tw when loaded don't worry about moving stuff, drop the hitch head a hole and see how it sets with the bars on, fine tune with the washers and chain lengths to get the weight transfer. Sitting level with out the bars isn't a bad thing, you just have to tune the hitch for it.

8,000km's worth of towing this camper around the eastern Canadian provinces and as far as Maryland during our two week vacation in August. Total of 66 Nights spend in the camper last summer. The truck works flawlessly towing this trailer, its about the max i would go for a Max tow non-HD as i've got breathing room for the kids to grow and its never a handfull to drive. That's why we chose a mini slide model bunkhouse instead of the full slide models that end up being 1000lbs heavier and a ft taller.
how much does your trailer weigh when fully loaded? Looking at one similar

IWell gents ...oh, and ladies?
I hooked up the travel trailer , loaded up as we will be tomorrow for our trip...and hit the scales. Full propane tanks (3), full fresh water tank (46 gal) . I had a feeling I had it nailed by the drive to the scales on a secondary road here. I am 1000 lbs under my CGVWR, 100 lbs under my rear axles GAWR, lost only 80 lbs on the front end, well under my trailer max weight and 100lbs under my GVWR. Drove and road like she was almost not there. But, I have a question .....

As you can see in these pictures, the truck is almost bang on for level. But I think the trailer is slightly nose high. I really don't want to change the geometry of the setup ...it rode that well. I do have one more downward "hole" adjustment on the WDH...should I move the ball down to that? If so, will that change the geometry or feel of the tow?

Well, I dropped it an inch and a half tonight. Won't make enough of a difference in the geometry of the setup and will make the trailer look better.

Slap a level on the frame and the road. More than likely its right where it needs to be, the shape of the body is deceiving. You know that saying, if it aint broke....
