2010 F150 with a 2016 Coleman 295QBH, overall length is around 32' and dry weight is 6,200 lbs. With the Firestone air bags at 50lbs it sits level and rides like a dream, but soon to trade it in on a Jayco White Hawk with a different floor plan that's more suitable for the family.

Thats just a little longer than the 274BH I have. Nice pulling trailer, and my 14 F150 Screw 145" pulls it just fine with no air bags, and the ride is fine. Nice and level too. Interesting that just 4 feet adds 1000# to that trailer, mine wet is 6300# at the scale. Is that the one with a full queen bed in the front?

I didn't need the airbags but when I did the level kit I didn't want larger blocks in the rear. For its size it pulls nice for how much higher than the truck it is, I haven't taken it to a scale yet just relying off the manufacturer specs. Tounge weight is close to 850lbs or so, but with the quad bunks in the back its wasted space for us. It was definitely an impulse buy and now looking at a different floor plan that's practical. And yes it has the full queen in the front with one large slide out.

So far mine is working out quite well for us with 5 people. Those rear bunks in mine are huge, 6' x 4'. The queen in front is the shorty though, so I like your plan better, but without a slider. That adds more weight than my truck can handle. I bought my trailer based on what my truck can tow, and the 274BH just makes it. So far been really pleased with it, 3 trips so far this year with it and everything worked perfectly. Going on one more this weekend before I winterize it and store it in the barn.

I bet if you weigh it, you will find it weighs a bit more than 6200# dry. Mine at a wet #6300 has a TW of ~760#. I used the 2x4, scale and pipe setup to weigh it. That $12 Walmart scale worked perfectly.

Yes the bunks are huge, we could easily sleep in just the back with the 4 of us. The kids don't ever use them, they would rather sleep on the pull out couch and dinet bed . So we're looking at a Jayco rear kitchen model or the Keystone Bullet rear kitchen, the floor plan is more our style with the 2 entry doors and larger bathroom/shower, and more counter space in the kitchen then we have now. But this camper has been AMAZING and I've become partial to it but the boss wants different .

If you don't need bunks, the rear kitchen is by far the best layout in a TT. They seem much bigger then they actually are.

Yes that's the main reason for wanting to switch over to that floor plan, and a full shower lol.

This is what worries me. We are looking at bunk house models too. Not the quad, but I the Keystone Bullet 272BH is one floor plan that has the two in the rear corner and my wife is sold of the bunk house model. We just have on younger kid at this point, hopefully another on the way some day, but I can see him saying he just wants to sleep on the couch or dinette like he does in grandma camper, lol. And if that is the case, I would rather have another floor plan, but trying to get her convinced of that, well and my son thinks the bunks are pretty cool idea at the moment. So, we'll see.

Always great discussions and pictures.
