Here's our weekend setup, which hauls like a dream. Yes for all those that have to be the weight police (which drives me crazy), we are near the limit but are fully aware of that limit and how to mitigate the risk. It's not YOU towing so leave it alone!

We've wanted this setup for quite some time and just last summer have it all now!

It's not me towing but its me and my family that you are endangering on the road if your equipment fails due to exceeding its rating/ability. People with your mindset drives me crazy. Its like driving drunk and saying "I'm the one taking the risk not you" NOT TRUE! Your inconsiderate take on this could kill someone some day.

If you aren't exceeding any of your capacities, than kudos to you. Sure looks like you are probably tipping the scale, though. Also, it isn't just the ability to pull the weight you're pulling, but being able to control it and stop it.

+1. Maybe a little harsh if the guy isn't exceeding any of his capacities, but the principal remains.

I hear ya. I don't have pics, but I used to tow a popup with all the bells and whistles. It took 2 hours to set up and take down. Now I have a TT (hybid TT), and it takes about 20 minutes.

The point is, not all of us are just stupid country bumpkins. Some people can actually made an educated decision on what works and doesn't work or is safe or not safe. We don't need some holier than thou know it all to preach to us because it makes him feel powerful or important.

So if some people can make an educated decision does that mean that the laws do not apply to them. Sure 1 or even 100 pounds might not be bad. Bt there are alot of people well over the ratings. I wonder what a judge would say when you used that as defense. " I made an educated decision your honour" Judges repsonse " are you an engineer" Defedant "no" Judge " while i guess your not educated"

See i am not trying to be holy than anyone just want the right to be safe on the road. Just my 2 cents
