Make sure you follow the installation instructions for the weight distributing hitch and measure any "rise" of the front end. That's what can really get people into trouble. Even with the air bags you can remove enough weight off of the front end, with a high tongue weight, to lose control in certain situations (wet pavement, uphill, etc,...). If the WDH is adjusted correctly, you'll see no rise at the front end after it's all tightened down.

For the record, proper WDH doesn't call for elimination of all front end rise. Most of the truck manufacturers want the measurement with nothing hooked, and then hooked with no spring bars. Half that distance is the amount of front end rise they like to see when spring bars are hooked.
There were some studies published a few years back and it was found that the tv had better control in emergency situations adjusted as such.

Your limiting factor will be overloading your axles and payload.
The Raptors payload is really low at less than 1000 lbs after options. That's the payload of a large car. That's much less than the wife's Ford Escape. That will severely limit you on tongue weight which will dictate how heavy you can go. With just you and some light gear, you'll should be able to tow a light camper around 5000 lbs loaded. That's about 4000 lbs dry, with just you and some light gear. If you have a family, pop up is really the only choice to keep you from being overloaded.

Towed the trailer (Flagstaff 831FKBSS) with the new Ecoboost Lariat today. WoW, and I thought my old 07 5.4 XLT did good up hills. The Ecoboost just hauls *** up the hills. I love how the transmission downshifts on its own while going down hills. Indeed a vehicle that was built for this job. Its just amazing how this V6 can out tow a larger V8. Love the new truck.

What the total loaded weight towing ? Your in the 9,000 to 9,200 for the trailer on the scales?

The dry weight of the trailer is 7080lbs and its rated for 8960lbs and the total length of the trailer is 34'9". We keep very minimal amounts of stuff in it and rarely tow it with water in the fresh tank. The Lariat has the 3.55 gears and is rated for 9700lbs, so I'm still safely inside the ratings of the truck.
