first time towing, so i took a picture lol. Ive got a question tho, it was about a 150 mile trip(one way) at 70mph(speed limit) no ac on or anything. and everytime i came to a stop, their was a pretty strong burning smell! like something was hot. maybe the torque converter or something? the engine temp was fine, and so was the trans temp(195F) i guess thats average. i smelled the same smell one day when playing around with the manual shift. i just thought i was running it too hard.
but this is a pretty light load, and im soon wanting to get my own boat. But i dont wana break down somewhere lol. we left the trailer at the lake, the drive home was fine. any ideas what was getting hot?

How old/new is the truck?

I had the same smell when towing with mine - brand new... probably parts and paint wearing.

Its all good now.

Just turned 24,000 miles.

It's 33'11" (according to the brochure) and it has two slides which really open it up on the inside. Dry weight of 6100 and GVWR of 7600.

How good does it pull that thing? I'm in the market for one about that size and I'm curious.
