I have noticed the same thing. I was chalking it up to the winter blend gas we get here in awesome WNY.

I would think that's it. Cause cooler air in the intake means better performance. To a point.

Takes longer for the truck to get up to operating temps, fluids are colder and thicker, etc.

Also the air is about 15 percent denser so wind resistance is increased.

Well on a long trip pulling a trailer I see no reason she can't get to the proper temp.

This is the latest vehicle to be towed with my F150. Stinkin' cold!!! It was 10 below in this pic (Michigan a week and a half ago). The roads were dry and I wanted to get going before the snow started later that day.

Unfortunately, Ohio sucked with snow blowing across the interstate in near whiteout conditions. This was in Tennessee later that night. I need an enclosed trailer.......

Just click on one of the above pics and you will go to the photobucket gallery. There is a pic of the engine. it was built to look like a little 283.

Just a 350 Chevy. A 383 stroker would fit. It's NHRA certified to run in the 9's. It has a chute and wheelie bars. but not needed with the current motor. The car only weighs 2300 lbs.
