If you're getting into the RV game I'd recommend the open range 5th wheel. 2012 model. Or higher. With a gooseneck adapter I'd do the B&W turnover ball with the Andersen ultimate offset ball if needed. which will put the pin wt 1/2 inch in front of the axel. As well air bags would be good. This will feel very safe behind you

Thanks for the response, didnt think a 1/2 ton could really pull a 5er. Looks like i might be over the GVWR with something like the 3X309RLS, my truck weighs about 5800#. I like the idea of the hitch in the bed though, seems like it might be more stable than a bumper pull.

there are 4-5 Light models to choose from. I'm looking at the LR3111FLR as it has the living room in the front and don't need bunks.

The Rockwood Signature ultra Lite series seems to be very popular with 1/2 tonners as well.
