Default ITBC Question

Hi there! I just took delivery of my first F150, a 2020 XLT. I had the dealer install an ITBC as it wasn’t included from the factory. I found two unopened parts labeled as ITBC related (wiring harness pieces) inside the truck and squeezing the brake doesn’t pop up the “trailer not found” message on the dash. Is this normal, or is something not right with the install? Unfortunately, I don’t have a trailer to test at the moment.

Thanks in advance for the input.

It should say no trailer attached. If not they didnt activate the controller. Is it lit up?

With no trailer attached I get the following message when I squeeze the manual tabs: I have a '19 150

Not lit up. Looks like it is going back to the dealer.

If you found a relay and fuse, we'd be telling you where to stick them (in the fuse box ). Having two pieces of harness sounds like they didn't finish installing the ITBC.

BACK TO THE DEALER WITH YE!

The harness is probably to install an after market brake controller, this was in the glove box of my 1st truck without the factory controller.

Are there any fuses or relays with it? As mentioned above the dealer may have skipped them but I doubt if they could verify the install without them
