Installing 5100's -Should I level some or leave stock rake if towing??

Also fixin to replace ours with a set of Bilstein's. I decided to go with the 4600's instead of the 5100's. We tow a 5th wheel and it rides level when towing so I'm leaving the 2 ish inch rake there as not to have it squat when towing.

You do have the option to install the 5100's at stock height as far as i've read.

Talked to Bilstein tech today re 4600's verses 5100's as found a number of comparison reviews on line that stated they have different internal design characteristics and that 5100 had stiffer ride.
I had understood from my past research they had same design internally, only difference being the 5100 has longer stroke to handle raised trucks and plus front strut is adjustabie. Tech confirmed that is the case - ride and handling should be the same.
So have decided to have all 4 5100's installed. Will leave fronts at stock height as I am doing this to improve ride and towing.
Thanks for the feedback and input.

Yes, aware of that.

Yeah, i had read, including on Bilstein's website, that the 4600 and 5100 were the same, except the ability to extend further (for lifts) and then there was mention of the internal valving change for more unsprung mass. So you're saying the tech confirmed the 5100's are a stiffer ride/damping due to the aforementioned valving?

Plus Silver 5100's will look better on my truck than yellow/black 4600's.

Got ya, and thanks for clarifying and checking with Bilstein, i'm sure i'll be doing this upgrade at some point, but wasn't fully clear on the two shocks.

To someone else's comment if you install a leveling kit on your truck, you will most likely want to tow with a weight distribution hitch.
I changed my truck's suspension mostly for appearance and front ground clearance (to remove rake). I want to be able to put slightly larger tires underneath the truck, and I am not always towing.
For example, my truck is leveled with add-a-leafs, however on this trip to the tail of the dragon with a 24' V-Nose loaded down with 4 Harleys (I believe it was roughly 6000-7000lbs all in) we had a little bit of sag still present in the rear.
