Default How far does your back end drop?

I have yet to do a measurement but I feel like my trucks back end drops quite a bit when I hook up my trailer. I was going to measure the distance from the top of my rear tire to the bottom of the wheel well before and after I hook up the trailer. It is a 2008 f150 lariat with a tow package and 3.73 gears. I do use a weight distribution hitch as well. I would like to take three measurements, not hooked up, hooked up, and hooked up with distribution hitch on. My trailer is not her right now so if anyone has done this please share.
Thankyou

I have always thought.. with the WDH.. the back end of the tow vehicle shouldn't drop more than 1/2 inch. That's what the WDH hitch is for.. leveling out your truck and trailer. The front wheel well measurements should not change much either.

My truck sits level with the trailer on and the WDH bars on. With just the weight of the trailer it sits a touch lower in the rear.

I will have to measure the next time I hook up. How do you know which link to put it on on ur bars? They are quite tight but I wonder if going one more link would help?

Thanks

Read the owners manuals for the truck and hitch.
Measure from the front fender to the ground unloaded.
Set the tongue on the ball and measure again.
GENERALLY, with the bars hooked up the hitched measurement should be 1/2 way between those two measurements .
The rear end takes care of itself.

Almost 2 inches, then again the HD payload + Max tow has a high rake when unloaded. The truck is just about dead level once the 5'r sits on her *****

When I put 500# on the hitch, the rear drops 1.3" and the front raises 0.4".

As the rear is lifted almost 1" by the RAS to begin with, it all ends up pretty level.
