Below was what I was responding to. If you don’t think that’s an overblown broad brush statement, then I’ll just step away from this conversation.
You misunderstand what I was stating. I was not comparing the two numbers, I only used the total traffic deaths figure to show that what makes it to the net does not correlate to reality. I've got 50 chickens in my backyard. I take a picture of them when 30 are in the coop and post it up. Would someone be correct in stating that I've only got 20 chickens?

No, they would not, because there are no chickens in my backyard.

I do like me some eggs, it's on the daily, but as I said, there are no chickens in my backyards, so they must be in the pot.

Not a fan of the pickles, but am a fan of the hot. A spicy chicken sandwich with jalapenos and Cholula or a craft hot sauce makes my day, any day.

Oh come on... the pickles make it, bro! Agreed on some good, spicy sauce, but you gotta’ have the pickles!
And BTW, don’t waste your time (or money) on that new crispy chicken sandwich at McDonalds.

Clowns are for kids, no thanks.

Sorry, but pickles in any form go to the trash pandas. Why anyone would want to ruin a perfectly good cucumber is beyond me. Not judging, but to me the a pickle is akin to consuming embalming fluid.

Are you telling us you never drink alcohol? Or eat green olives? Or sauerkraut? Or Worcestershire sauce?

To each their own, I suppose.

Ironically, I like pickles but none of the others you mentioned.

Thanks for agreeing with me. We need to reinforce that a heavy tow vehicle should not be your first consideration. Otherwise why limit yourself at a 1 ton get a Kenworth.
The question is, "Would a 20,000 lb Kenworth have prevented that crash?". I actually suspect it would have.

However the real issue was he exceeded the capability of the tow vehicle in some manner. That combo might have been perfectly safe at a 20 mph lower speed.

I can't recall which article exactly, but I did read in one of them, that there was mention of exceeding the speed limit. It was also mentioned somewhere, that the camper was excessively loaded both inside, and on a rear-mounted carrier. People often overlook or disregard, how much effect that and content placement, will have on how a trailer behaves.
