Default Hitch Overkill?

There's a Fastway 12,000lb trunnion e2 hitch for sale locally at a great price. I plan on towing a travel trailer, but I doubt I will ever get a trailer over 5,000lb dry weight. So is the fact that this is total overkill an issue? The hitch is almost like new, and I'd be saving a lot of money, so I'm tempted to grab it.

Too much hitch will ruin your ride you really want to pair the hitch with the trailer
