Just wanted to say hey...and then ask your opinion? I recently (5 days ago) purchased a 2019 STX 4x4, SuperCrew, 5.5 bed, 5.0 engine, electric lock 3.55 rear end, 10 speed trans,. along with tow package, pro trailer backup assist, trailer brake assist . Sticker states 7000# GVWR which I believe is the curb weight of the vehicle along with passengers and cargo bed max weight? I understand that the max tow weight for this truck is recommended not to exceed 9100#'s. I have a weight distribution system and anti sway (attached to WDS) for the camper which has a dry weight of 3750#'s I also have a pontoon boat that weighs out at 3100#'s (boat, fuel, trailer.) There is no WDS when pulling the boat.
Think this truck will handle it? Salesman of course said it would and more.. Also..since the truck has anti sway is there an issue with using the vehicle anti sway while having the WDS anti sway attached. I was using a 2010 STX 2WD and it at times struggled... still have it...couldn't bring myself to part with it
Below is on the dealers driveway....and then my driveway !!!!
Lots of good info here !!! Thanks

Agree - great looking truck! You’ll be fine from what you’ve told us. Looking at the towing selector guide from Ford, you’re well under the max tow weight. And with a 7000 lb GVWR on an XL, I would guess your payload is pretty healthy as well. That light of a trailer should be no problem. That’s in the sweet spot of what an F150 can handle pretty well.
Also, using a WDH with anti sway is smart, and won’t have any conflicts with the Sway control Ford offers with the truck. All of us towing TTs do the same thing.
You are a bit confused, 7000 GVWR is the max the truck can weigh when it's rolling down the road. That includes people, gas, cargo and if you are towing tongue weight. The number you want to watch out for is payload which is the GVWR minus the curb weight of the truck with a full tank of gas. In my platinum that number is 1565. Your STX should be much higher.
The STX is one of the better packages to tow with because the truck itself is starting out relatively light. Go look at the yellow payload sticker on the door. It will say "total weight of the cago and occupants can not exceed x,xxx". Take that number and start subtracting the weight of stuff in the truck. Everything counts, people, stuff in the bed, and then the weight on the tongue. I have measured our boat, its right at 8% of its total weight on the ball. As a reference I have seen STX tucks with around 1,8xx lbs of available payload.
Pontoon wont be a problem at all. We tow our 6,500lb cobalt behind our Platinum which is basically the worst platform for towing ever. The STX has a ton more payload.
