Default Front hitch?

Would like to install a front hitch. Problem is. Most come out under the front air dam. Not allowing for enough ground clearance. Would like one to come out in the lower part of the grill opening.

Any suggestions.

2007 F 150.

Me too. I had to build my own on my last truck.

Bodiak makes one that bolts directly to the front tow hooks. Closest I have come to for what I want. Unfortunately it's $300.00 to my door in NC.

Get one with an offset similar to this:

Looks great. Removable too. I built one that was all behind the bumper like the Curt but came out behind the license plate so it was hidden until you put the hitch into the receiver. It was strong enough for a winch. I also used it to haul bicycles.

Exactly what I plan to do. I'm just unable to fabricate.

Question? How well did it work with bikes on the rack? Was it a problem with cooling? How bout headlight reflection at night?

I need the hitch. Not the plug in piece.

It worked great. Never towed much except a boat w/(5) bikes on front. Bikes were not covering lights as I recall. I did it so I could tow and carry bikes. One piece of 2" X 4" with 1/4 wall along front crossmember. Bolted in 4 places. The a piece of 2 X 2 with the sides cut out and thru bolted to the 2 X 4. Calculated yield of 2 X 9,000 lb winch. Would rather stall the winch than break something. However with a pull force of 9,000lb something will give.

Found out that there's about 29-30" between the frame rails up front. Called Etrailer. No help. But their website has several interesting options.

Bolt on but not real strong:

Designed for up to 72" so should be a lot stronger when narrowed.

Several weld on options. Some are very strong. Ex:

Thanks for the suggestions.

Cost of hitch plus hassle of modifying to fit would equal the 300 for the bodiak. Will probably just go this route. I have searched and searched to no avail. But thanks again for the suggestions.
