Default how does it work

on this topic how does the system actually work? i have yet to find that answer.

I will say i am not new to towing but i am no pro either but to my knowledge when you get major sway the best way to correct is hitting the trailer brakes only while increasing speed a bit.

for minor sway, i dont go that fast, i tend to just let of the gas a minute and let things settle, never had major sway to deal with.

So this ford sway system, does it hit all breaks, just the trailer breaks? let off the gas or speed up?

I have a lot to learn, have driven older GM products most my life, about to own my first ford, just ordered a 2017 and trying to learn all the specs. ordered a F150 XL Screw, 5.5 bed, 3.5 EB, 10 speed trans with max tow pack and some other not towing options.

A simple Google search would provide your answer: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/vehic...y-control.html

It begins to apply brakes to individual wheels and reduces engine power. As the human driver, you have no way to apply brakes to individual wheels.

It's impossible for you to do individual wheel brakes regardless. You hit the pedal and the truck applies brakes. If the anti-lock kicks in, then the truck decides what to let off on, but that would not be during sway issues if you applied the brakes unless you pushed it to the floor.
