Question F150 and tow hitch question.

Hey fellas, first post here. I'm gonna be honest my google-fu has failed me, so I'm here.

I'm in an interesting situation where having a motorcycle tow hitch carrier would be extremely beneficial as I don't have the room for a trailer on my property, and well loading the bike in and out of the back is a PITA.

it would be something like this for those that don't know...

My question is what's the most cost effective way of making this a viable option when the hitch TW rating is 500lb, the carrier has a 600LB rating, and bike alone can weight around 500LB?

oh the truck is a 2023 F-150 3.5L V6 Ecoboost
Thank you in advance.

The problem comes in that the weight is so far behind the rear axle that it pulls up the front axle. The receiver hitch itself has 2 numbers 500lb and a second someplace between 1000lb and 1300lbs. So, the hitch is sturdy enough to handle that higher weight, but it has the requirement that a weight distributing hitch be used so you push that front axle back down with the heavier weight on the hitch.

No way I would trust a factory hitch to carry a full size bike and carrier putting that kind of torque load on the receiver.

I've used those for hauling my dirt bike, but we're talking less than 250#.

Which hitch would work for me? I've read that I can't just replace the current one without doing something to the bumper.

I cannot think of any. I see you need to get it up about 2 feet to get on the carrier, why not go the extra foot and put it in the truck bed?

I wouldn’t worry about the truck, I think it will be fine, I’d worry about the hitch. I normally would recommend putting a class V hitch on a half ton but in this case if you can find one I might give it a go. They are a much higher rated hitch. I’m not sure if the truck frame is still the limiting factor??
