F150 load adjusting shocks
I have a 2016 F150 2WD that I work out of and want to find some good shocks for my truck but am having a ton of trouble getting the correct ones when looking online. Had load adjusting shocks on my '98 F150 and loved them. Would really like something like that. When I say I work out of my truck I mean I do construction and am loaded with tools all the time. Anyone have ideas?
If you are heavily loaded on a regular basis, then I'd be tempted to add those firestone type airbags to help the leaf springs and simple quality shocks like Bilstein. Only adjustable shocks I know of are Ranchos..... https://www.gorancho.com/products/ra...shock-absorber
The shocks you’re thinking of are the Monroe load adjusting shocks. They do not make them for the 15-20 trucks unfortunately.
Roadmaster Active Suspension would likely be the next best thing. Air bags are also an option, but you have to add and remove air and there’s the possibility of leaks.

Weight?? So you need to weigh your truck/tools to know what you are dealing with. The easiest is to get axle weights at most scales. If you can get corner weights it would help even more...
if you dont know those #s... I dont even understand how you know what pressures to run in your tires? Which is a whole nuther question.
However if anyone adds airbags I strongly suggest the onboard pump with blue tooth. I adjust the pressure on my phone and if it has sat a few days and lost some air it brings it back to the setting as soon as the truck starts.
I bought my truck used and it came with air bags, I probably would not have added them myself.

They shouldn’t lose any pressure after a couple days. Maybe if the temp drops, but they should hold the exact pressure they’re set at otherwise.
