Even though I have for sure entered the correct VIN into the ETIS, it comes back as aF-150, 2.0L DOHC PFI GAS 20V RNC, even though the description in the Vehicle Summary is correct. Any ideas why? What is 2.0L Gas 20V RNC supposed to mean??

Its because it is a UK site and some vehicles don't actually exist there. I remember when we were looking up Fusion Hybrids, and they came up as a Transit.

Default 2017 vs 2018 Max tow

2017 vs 2018 Lariat Max towing difference
I had a 2017 F150 Lariat 3.5 with Max towing and recently traded it in for a 2018 F150 Lariat 3.5 also with Max towing. Long story short I loved the 2017 but had a lot of issues with the plastic oil pan and engine burning oil. They switch the oil pan back to metal on the 2018 3.5. I have attached the 2017 door panel sticker and my new 2018 door panel sticker and hitch sticker.

Hitch increased from 12,700 to 13,200 lbs.

Also rear GVWR from 3800 to 4050. Front GVWR 3525 increased to 3600.

Same 7000 GVWR.

I wonder what the probability is of the ETIS information being incorrect. Mine states 'Less Elect Locking Differential", but I've got it.

Do you have the FX4 or Max Tow package that would have came with the e-locker? I've noticed it somethings seems to only be listed if they are a stand alone option.

They (almost?) all say that, but I don't think the forum collective has come up with anything else that's consistently misleading. My best guess is that the "less elect locking diff" refers to the front, not the rear, but that's a WAG.

This is correct. If ordered by itself, it would be included, if part of the Max Tow, or FX4, then it would be part of the package. More than likely a Limited would show the moonroof as Less Moonroof since it is part of the package. If someone has access, see if running a limited vin through shows this, or a Platinum and see if any of the standard items that are optional on Lariat show the same. Curious to see since I did see this on a 13 Fusion I had where some items that were on the car showed up as "less".

But doesn't a max tow show "with 36-gallon tank"? I was under the impression the ETIS listing was more of an internal build guide than a window sticker, and thus packages didn't matter, only the options that were actually included (whether as part of a package or standalone).
