Ecoboost pulling a 5er?
Mines a 2012 fx4 with a 3" lift. I'd love to get a 5th wheel but I'm getting mixed reviews, do I really need to change the suspension? Any suggestions would help for this newbie! Thx guys

Without more detail about truck or trailer can't say for sure, but most likely you will be overloaded. And with a3" lift it will look like a girl peeing in the woods as my67falcon would say.

I have a 2012 supercab ecobooster and just recently bought a 2013 crossroads zinger 5th wheel!! I love mine and have no problems towing at all. The weight police on here will be all over you about it but don't listen to them! As long as you don't go crazy with the 5th wheel you'll have no problem. Mine weighs in around 7500 lbs and 1400 pin weight. Also upgraded to the superglide hitch and love my set up!!

I bought it right off of the show room floor, actual lift, not levelling kit. The salesman at the store said that these 5th wheels are getting lighter and lighter to accommodate for 1/2 tons. Not sure if that's true or not but a few guys on here have the cougar with helium technology and say they've got no issues....

Depends on the truck payload and that depends on the model. Check the drivers door jamb for a yellow sticker that shows max cargo and occupancy weight. That is max weight you can add to the truck. Subtract out gear, toolbox, and people weight and you are left with hitch weight.
Payload could be as low as 1200 and high as 2800. Depends on model. Probably closer to 1500 since it was an of the lot model. Others may come in regarding air bags to accommodate the lift, I'm guessing that works but I never have towed with a lift or owned anything lifted.
