It's just far enough back that you can't see all the blemishes. The PO used an angle grinder to "feather" the paint on the fenders, before trying to spray red onto the rust on the hood. When that didn't work, he punctured the can, dumped the paint on the hood, and threw the can into the leaves in the bed to finish draining & curing. Then he sprayed gray primer over that, let it sit for a few years before realizing he couldn't fix the rich-running problem, and finally sold it to me. I had to remove the hood, engine, & bed to get it back running right. That pic was probably 2~3 years ago, before I took it to FL & back towing a slightly-lighter trailer.

This album shows how I got it, and most of what I did to it.

This is that same black Bronco just after I built it at a salvage yard, with just me & some junk parts in it - no sandbags or hitch hauler.

I weighed this at the county landfill at 16Kip (truck 5800; trailer 2700; tractor 7500).
It seems you do know what I mean by "scale it".

Its going to be hard to scale 1,000 tongue.

Long story short I bought that current F150 planning on my 20 f350 going in for a recall (that took 7-9 weeks to get parts). One of my workers drives it home now because the Ram 1500 he drove was completely worn out. I may give the 350 to another worker and get another f150 xl myself soon and will do the same mods (done it on 2 XL 2wd’s so far, just the 4600 shocks and hitch).

But with all that talk I am seriously talking about taking a passive role with my companies and contracting everything out. That is why we only have 2 work trucks and one trailer at this time.

Rambling on, but when I had the 150 for a couple months I towed a 7500 lb trailer and it hardly squated or knew it was there. My last 2.7 I daily drove for a couple years (beater) didn’t squat too bad up until about 9,000, it had an over the rail tool box with probably 200-300 lbs of stuff in it.

No, I hadn't read your posts. So IDK what you mean, either. And I was only GUESSING about what he meant, based on a change in context - he still hasn't clarified.

This grappler bucket weighs right at 1,100, way forward of the axles. The trailer resting probably has 350lbs of tongue.

Truck is sitting level. Plenty of room to the bumpstops.

I dont know whats in the bed/tool boxes but I would guess 500-1000lbs.

We actually didn’t tow this with this truck we just used it to pull it 20ft out of the warehouse.
