What I don't like is how "little" my new iphone and Sync will work together. Still have to have my phone in the cradle in order to use "Hey Siri" lol Correct me if I'm wrong....but the older phones work better with Ford Sync.

Moral of the story is I hate my iphone and really wish my company let me to continue to use android.

To revisit this thread. Hit a CAT scale in MO fully loaded and topped off. Didn't see anything glaring with the numbers so we kept rolling
Steer Axle-3220
Drive Axle-3600
Trailer Axle-5560
GCWR-12380
Under pretty good notion that the truck weighs @6000 with 2 adults and limited gear
@820lbs tongue weight
Trailer weights 6380
comes out to @12.85% tongue weight.
Trailer pulled pretty good but wind still pushed us around pretty good. Got about 8.5mpg total doing 70-75 for the bulk of the trip on the interstate. Saw as high as 10mpg with a tail wind for a small segment.
But here is the kicker.... Sounds stupid because it is. we never have checked the tire pressure on the trailer. Tires always looked good so never bothered. I just checked this week while I was prepping for the next trip. Drivers side tires were at 70psi, passenger rear 40psi, passenger front 45. These are 50psi cold rated tires. Scary to think about the potential danger from Over inflation. Makes me wonder if the factory dropped the ball on the trailer or it was some form of sabotage. No one bothers to check tires that look inflated.

Your weights are in line with mine, though front and rear are different. Yours gives me a ballpark to shoot for though when I setup the BO this weekend. Since I already have the baselines, and nothing but the hitch will change, I only need one scale reading.

I wouldn't worry about your 1500lb bars either. If anything, I feel like my bars loosened up after a trip if that's at all possible. I def. do not think they are too stiff and we have basically as much chain as you can get loose (I have 7 loose links over attachment.) Need to jack up the trailer with the hitch hooked up to get enough slack to even get the link to grab.
Hope the hitch helps you

Ordered a Hellwig Rear sway bar. Hoping to improve the handling. Really starting to notice how easy I get blown around unloaded just at stop lights. I wont complain about better corning unloaded either

Wow. This truck corners on rails now. Very Super Duty like without the rough front end. I'm excited to tow with it. Didn't realize how sloppy the rear was until locking it up

Is that something that can be easily removed? My truck needs all the help it can get, and if I decide I have had enough I intend to strip everything off that I put on except the shocks.

took ~2hr to install (lot of dinking around), 30 min to readjust when I didn't have it set up right the first time. All in all pretty quick. Will be towing this weekend to see a semi-real result. Wont be fully loaded
