Ball mount recommendations
Just purchased a F150 CC, SB, XLT, max tow pkg.
On the search for a trailer and trying to get everything lined up ahead of time.
I have used the BW stock & Go ball mount and liked them quite a bit. Unfortunately the one that I still have is a 2 1/2" so will not work.
I am looking at the BW model with the 5" drop. For you guys currently towing does that seem to give you sufficient adjustment to level the trailer?
Thanks!!

I use a 5" drop for my utility trailer. Trailers vary so much, hard to simply say what will be the perfect drop for a trailer you have not yet purchased. Some like a variable drop, they tend to be pricy. When you say trailer, what are you thinking? A smaller cargo trailer, 5x10, or an enclosed trailer, or a travel trailer?

Sorry, should have been more specific. I do owe a cargo trailer a bit, but a travel trailer is what I am trying to get set up for as there is one in our future
I don't own a trailer anymore, but I'll rent or borrow as needed. I keep an Andersen Rapid Hitch in the truck which covers almost anything I might tow and is capable beyond the limits of my truck. Lightweight, no rust aluminum.

If you're getting a travel trailer, that's probably going to require a weight distribution hitch set up specifically for your truck/trailer.

You’re going to want a good weight distribution hitch to tow a travel trailer. I have a Wildwood 261BHXL with a GVWR of 7,500-ish pounds. I use an Equalizer 10k 4-point hitch with built in sway control. Been very happy with it! There are other very reputable brands out there too (Blue Ox, ProPride). But all in all, wouldn’t suggest doing a straight hitch on a travel trailer, IMO.

You really can 'pre- prepare' for setting up a wdh. You buy them in classifications for what you are owing. Buy a measly 20' 5.5k loaded Travel Trailer like mine, almost any basic wdh will be fine. Step up to a loaded 26' 8k trailer, you will want a higher end one like an equalizer 4 point. Get any heavier or longer trailer than that, you will want a bigger truck. Others do longer, either they are well seasoned drivers or not the sharpest tool in the shed.
