Black gave my FX4 a 3/4" lift, I now have the white disc setting and it is almost an inch.
Definitely has more take, but I'm resisting a 2" lift sure to the electric steering issues.

Oh and those tires are 1" taller than stock so that may skew the perception of how it may look on your truck if you still have the factory tires.

Just installed mine this afternoon along with the rails in the bed. Old mans 5th wheel hitch is still in the box (used for lining up since it sits in the outside holes where the gooseneck mounts near the middle holes). Put it in a tight black setting, forgot to measure before, but noticebly higher. Used this setting first as the father-in-law is still looking for a replacement pickup and I'll probly have to distribute the cattle to pastures this spring with his 20' 4star cattle trailer. I'd guess close to 2",really doesn't bother me as I hate leveled trucks when towing. What a difference over little chatter bumps on the gravel roads, BIG improvement. Seems to float around on the gravel a little more so far (in the rear), but I contrbute that to a little more rake, and rear end staying flatter compared to the soft factory suspension. Back to the hrly job for a few days but will be hooking up the gooseneck cattle trailer next week to what a difference it makes, as long as the grade 8 bolts for the rails come in. Darn box frames, they are some long bolts. Now has a rake more compared to many 3/4 & 1 tons unloaded. Not rougher, very controlled now, so connected and 'tight' feeling over something like railroad tracks.

Default Can anyone help me with this?

I'm adding an Auto Spring aal to my truck to get rid of sag when hauling or towing. My truck is leveled right now with a 2" leveling kit. I want to keep the same stance and I don't want to go any higher. The Auto Spring aal will raise the back end up 1 1/2" to 2". So what I was going to do is put a 1-2" lowering shackle to try to keep it leveled (I don't have blocks I can remove, I've already checked). I'd appreciate any thoughts on this and if anyone has done it or if they think it will work CORRECTLY. I'm also thinking about adding the Roadmaster Active Suspension along with the aal & shackle.

I've heard that the Ground Force shackle is one of the best ones and was looking into buying them but it also seems to be the most expensive. I don't want to buy crap to put on my truck, so I'm wondering if there's others out there that will be good and strong enough for less money or not? I'm not a mechanic so any advice on good quality parts will help.

I was told that I shouldn't have any issues with my drive shaft since the stance will be the same. Is this true too?

PS. I've already decided that I don't want air bags.

Thank you

I installed the ground force shackles in conjunction with the RAS. Everything looked great until I hooked up my trailer. The bed of the truck ended up resting on top of the shackles if that makes sense.

It does make since unfortunately. So by trying to keep the same stance with the lowering shackles the shackles ended up hitting the bed underneath when loaded down. So what did you end up doing? Did you leave it that way or try something else? Why would they make something to put on your truck that's not going to work all the time? Have you talked to anyone else about it? And if so did they give you any advice on how to fix it?

I removed the lowering shackles and put them on the shelf. With my ARE cap and bedslide in the bed I have very little rake while using the RAS (black disc setting). The RAS performed great this winter while pulling my 4 place enclosed snowmobile trailer. Highly recommend

Mine just got delivered yesterday. Was going to install today but helped a friend install a set of airbags on his brand spanking new F250. Now just need to decide which disc to use when I install tomorrow.
