Automaticity unselecting trailer when unhooked?

Automaticity unselecting trailer when unhooked?
When I unhook a trailer on my 2019 F250 the truck knows the trailer is unhooked but it continues to accumulate mileage on that trailer. I have to manually unselect it. On the 2016 F250 it did this automatically. Any thoughts?
