OP. try turning off the sway control in the truck first. never know if it is the root cause. Has happened before for others, including me.

great point. on a WDH those arms are easy to take off. I think i will keep a WDH in my wish list for today and try the friction bar right now due to the cost difference. All of your input has been great and very thankful for the insight.

Thanks Ranger. all the insight has been great. I am going to try the friction bar, its nice to know you havent come close to collapsing or pulling yours apart even at the most severe turns.

Can you post pictures of the friction bar setup on your trailer once it’s installed? Been thinking about adding one to my trailer and I have the same trailer tongue setup as you do so I had concerns about it working with the tongue being so narrow. Also let us know how it tows once it’s installed.

Also, if not too big of a hassle could you post pictures of the setup at full turn in either direction?

Any update from the OP? Did you get the friction bar mounted on your trailer?

I finally found the time yesterday and got my sway bar mounted. Huge difference and highly recommend. I don’t have any pics while turning. But can tell you the combo felt very stable now on the freeway

No issues. I will hit my bumper on the trailer on either side before it’s fully collapsed or extended. I didn’t take any pictures but when I hook it back up I will
