Default Adjusting trailer hitch?

I bought a new truck and I'm adjusting my trailer to the truck.
I have it adjusted so the trailer is just slightly down in the front, the rear of the truck is down 1 3/4 inches and the front is only up 1/4 inch, truck is still up a little higher in the rear than the front.
Does this sound right?

No, it needs to ride level. You're telling us that with the trailer slightly down in the front, your trailer's front axle will be carrying more weight than the rear axle on the trailer. Level trailer = weight spread evenly among the trailer's axles and tires.

Yes. The rear is taking a majority of the tongue weight and the suspension has compressed to handle the load. Realistically, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE REAR HEIGHT OF THE TRUCK! Focus on a level riding trailer and returning the proper amount of load to the front axle.

No idea. What was the original front fender height? What was the front fender height after hitching up but not engaging the WDH bars? The 1/4" should be in the middle or 50%.

My trailer is only about 3/4 inch down in the front.

The front fender is 37.5 loaded and 37.25 unloaded.

You need more weight distribution. Need to get that front fender back to unloaded measurement.

That's not what Ford says on page 37.

I can crank it it up more if needed.

Sounds like you got a pretty good handle on it...
