So, 6" drop for a stock height F150? I have 34.5" tires on mine, and the top of the reciever sits at about 21", so I'm thinking I should probably be looking at an 8" drop then?
Looking at the Weigh Safe w/ 8" drop - http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/produ...92fc15766b9f13

Another vote to get the question from the OP answered!
Seriously, though... Let's ask a different way - What's the lowest one could reasonably expect to find a coupler on a trailer? 10"? 12"? If there's a 'minimum' that one could expect, it would be pretty simple to figure out how much drop one would need in an adjustable hitch. Just measure the top of the receiver and subtract X, and there you go.
For me, my unloaded receiver height is 21" (top), so if I get the 8" drop, I could cover 13-21", but the bottom of the drop hitch would actually be 10" off the ground (too low?). If I go w/ a 6" drop, that's 15-21", and an extra 2" of clearance from the bottom (12"). For a possible unknown future boat trailer, or the occasional U-haul trailer, or rented wood chipper / log splitter, is 15" low enough?

Still trying to decide between the 5 and 7 inch drop models... anyone have any pics on their trucks showing clearance with the 7? Any chance I'd actually ever need more than the 5" drop (assuming just larger tires and no lifts)
Thanks...
Thanks...

I ordered the 5" triple ball B&W from ebay. Was priced at $179 ($20 cheaper than anywhere else) and accepted a $160 offer! Can't beat that price. I also ordered the bolt receiver lock to key it to the truck.

What drop should I get for my 2015 F-150 3 or 5 inch drop?
I got a 2015 F-150 that has a 2.5 leveling kit and has 33 inch tires. I am wanting a hitch that drops lower than my 2 inch drop now. I pull utility trailers with lawn mowers for business and plan to pull enclosed trailers with mowers too. Should I get a B&W tow and stow 3 or 5 inch drop? I will attach a pic of truck. Thanks
