Default 3.7 Towing

Has anyone on here towed a travel trailer with the 3.7 v6? If so what was your experience with this engine. I have the 3.7 and was wondering how it would do.

What size Travel Trailer? Need more info to really help. There are certainly better engines for towing but if the 3.7 is what you have then you can try to make it work.

OP has a 3.7 non-ecoboost, you have a 3.5 ecoboost...

I have a 24 foot travel trailer that I will be towing. It seems to do fairly well. Since I don't get to far away from home I was wondering if it would be ok.

would not be my top choice for a 24 foot . I have the 3.7 also . But on flat ground no mountains it will pull it just don’t pull out in front of anyone and I would stay in 4th gear to protect the transmission . I assume u have the hitch and trailer brakes all in good safe working order. The 3.7 due to the 6 speed trans is pretty impressive compared to the old inline 6,or any 4.6 or older 302 with the 4 speed transmission . Keep your tire size too the minimum recommend as oversized tires put a lot of additional strain on a already weak setup for this application .

Did you validate that your Payload isn't being exceeded? Multiple posts explain the math. Payload sticker on your door jamb.
