Default 2019 trailer breaks

I have a 2019 F-150 XLT, I installed an OEM trailer break controller and had Ford dealer turn on all necessary computer settings or so i thought, I do not have gain display on the dash when applying the breaks anyone know what the problem could be? i have been all over the settings and can't find anything. If i control the breaks by squeezing the controller the gain appears as it should.

May be too obvious, but I believe your digital gauge display needs to have Towing --> Trailer Status selected. Not sure if it comes up by default, or if it does, that it stays, when a trailer is connected.

This. Mine doesn't show gain automatically unless on this screen. Pops up though if I squeeze the control lever no matter what screen I'm on.

I don’t think it’s supposed to pop up unless you go to that part of the menu. My brake controller works the same as yours.

I hate it when a trailer breaks. Brakes stop it, but then you have to get it fixed.

As noted, you have to make sure the truck senses the trailer plugged in. If it doesn't, scroll to the menu and connect it. Or return to the dealer, with the trailer, and show them how it doesn't show the trailer connected.

Did you check the fuse box? This may sound like a dumb question, but it was the problem I ran into. Plugged everything in, activated in Forscan and nothing, until I realized I hadn’t installed the fuse for the trailer brakes.

Ignore my post. Just saw that you said you have some trailer brake controls just not gain.
