I think there is some legalese regarding cannibalizing a new vehicle to repair a sold vehicle. The only thing I know they do is swap wheels. I still can't get over that not one of the 5 trucks there had an identical hitch, they all were off to some degree except the last one.

Ever since this tread started, I have been looking at trailer tow hitches on; Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Jeep, Toyota, Hyudai, Subaru, Honda, etc. etc. and Ford's F-150 is the only vehicle with a tilted receiver tube.
You are probably correct about cannibalizing a new vehicle.

Finally, I received a BS response from Ford Customer Service in reference to the tilted receiver tube on my 2019 F-150.
The following is a small section of the long and dragged-out BS response.
Quote: "Because the Customer Relation Center does not have access to technical resources and Ford Motor Company does not have a department to address these type of issues, I am unable to confirm if the tube or hitch is defective" It is great to hear that ****** ****** at ???????? Ford is working diligently to help resolve this concern. At this time, the best option is to continue to work with him to determine the best option for repair." End of quote.
********* did attempt to help by ordering another tow hitch and it also had a tilted receiver tube. All that was needed to keep me as a satisfied customer was to swap-out a tow hitch with a tow hitch with a straight receiver tube from a in-stock / unsold 2019 F-150 or continue to order tow hitches until a good hitch arrived. I have purchased three new vehicles from ???????? Ford within the past nine months and as always, I have lost a considerable amount of money on the trade-ins. I have been a loyal Ford customer since my first new 1986 F-250. At seventy years old, this unresolved tilted receiver tube issue has "tipped the scale" and I will not purchase another Ford product and I am certain that ????????? Ford and Ford Corporate will not be concerned that they have lost one loyal customer.
So.....there you have it, Ford has washed their hands. As I suspected, I did not receive a direct response from Ford's CEO.

At first till this thread I felt that it was a huge pain to put on a hitch since I bought a fleet truck but now I can see that it saved me more headache that I already have. Ford is slipping! They'll get back to what they were once was at some point but at the moment they ain't winning in quality

This is posted in another thread with other issues, but I thought it might be good to post here also, just for the sport of it.

Drawtite FTW!
I got rid of my F-150 with the tilted receiver tube and I now have a 2019 F-350. The 2-1/2" Receiver Tube Reducer does not come standard (free) with the 2019 trucks. I ordered a CURT #4505 reducer and I was p****d-off when I noticed the "Made in China" sticker on the side of the reducer sleeve and I sent it back to Amazon and will buy the reducer from the local Ford dealer. The reducer has some "slop" but may be OK for a light trailer but I have a 2-1/2" Weigh Safe Adjustable Draw Bar with a 2-5/16" and 2" ball. No CURT products for this guy!

Has anyone replaced his slanted receiver with an OEM service part lately? I'm wondering if they still have that issue.
My 2018 5.0 has a slightly slanted one. It's not really affecting functionality, but looking at it and knowing it sometimes bugs me. I see i can get the original Max Tow version for ~250 on ebay from Ford dealers... But of course the swap would only make sense if the new one is straight.

Really has no effect on performance or towing capability. Really... it doesn’t.

It causes my hitch to bind and I have to get a floor jack to level the hitch and then use the RV jack to lift it off. It does cause issues.

I have a small RV and the angle puts the hitch release in a bind. I have to jack the hitch up to where it is level, then I can release the latch on the RV hitch. I can adjust my hitch ball up, then the RV doesn't tow as well. I may try shimming the hitch with some grade #8 washers. it may be enough to work around the limp hitch.
