Just left dealership today- apparently ford has a build issue with the 2018 5.0 combo that the brake controller plug in dash is not fused and does not have power and engineering is aware of situation and working on a fix.

Still no part number for accessory add-on kit - has anyone tried installing JL3Z-2C006-AA yet? That's the part number for the factory equipped TBC module.

Need a solution
i have installed it but get a error every time I try to activate it. So I’m looking for a solution too. My local dealer had a hard time even finding what part to order to begin with.

Been there
just tried to get mine done today. The new part number will cover 2015-2018 according to my parts guy. However, the empty 30amp fuse under the hood and the lack of pins in the fuse slot is a problem. According to the service department the pins are actually reversed to prevent the addition of the fuse. I was told today they were elevating the problem from service to an engineer at ford.
Ill post it’s the result should it come.

Hey guys, I have some new information on this. A lot of 2018's already have a fuse in location F24 in the fusebox under the hood. If you already have it, you likely have fusebox part number JL3Z-14A068-E. If you don't have it, you need to install this fusebox, for a few hundred bucks. Then you can use JL3Z-19H332-AA (accessory part number) or JL3Z-2C006-AA (factory equipped part number) brake controller like normal! We just did one yesterday, successfully. Hope this helps everyone!
