Default 2015 F150 5.0 screw trailer question

Hoping for a Little help with my Towing calculations. Can someone chime in and let me know if it looks like I calculated this correctly?

I understand that its putting me close to the Max but for the moment we are only looking to go parks with water and sewer meaning no need to carry fresh or gray/black water. Just trying to make sure I understood the math behind it all correctly. I have the 2015 with 5.0 and 3:73 gears placing me at a GCWR of 16200 and a max tow of 10900. The truck does have a brake controller and hitch rated at 11k with the distribution hitch.

The plan is the just do "local" weekend trips (no up and down the mountains) and eventually pick up a 250/2500 pickup truck in the near future.

Also, If my excel sheet is correct it is all auto calculating and i dont mind sharing it with anyone who would like to use it

Thanks in advance

Your GVWR is 7000lb your truck and family come in at 6760lbs + 110 WDH leaves you a remainder of 130lbs of payload.
130lbs that's all the tongue weight you can support.
Nice truck.

yeah I just hit me about the tongue weight being part of the GVWR of the truck. With that being the case if I have me (200lbs) girlfriend and two 12 year olds (350lbs) im limited to a empty lowes utility trailer.. Man I wish i had known that going into this... Good marketing on Fords part , now way you could get to the 16,200 GCWR with one of these trucks :/

Wow, looks like you will want a 1300 pound trailer. Good luck.

Hard to make sense of most everything but it appears there is a situation of bad math/misunderstanding going on.

20 minutes in the towing threads will gain you a lot of missing information.
Come back tomorrow with follow up questions.
Throw away the chart.
Look at your vehicle payload, find the trailer that fits within your payload. Probably not 10,000 lbs

It looks like due to my actual truck weight with the fam and a full tank hitting 6780lbs I'm screwed on a towing a trailer.

I think you must have a lot of weight in accessories. My 2018 Screw 4x4 3.5EB 302A Sport FX4 weighs less than 5100 lb with a full tank. What does your original payload sticker in the door say? (Mine was 1907 lb).

Look at it the bright side. If you had bought a 2.7EB you would already be over GVWR.

Nice truck.
With a 240 lb available tongue I think I could live without a WDH.

Take some of the easy to remove stuff off your truck.
weigh it with just you and a full tank and see what payload you can achieve.
find the trailer that fits and have the wife bring the kids and stuff in the car if you have one.

My original sticker only shows the gvwr.
From doing the math it looks like lift, winch, front bumper, rear bumper (minus weight of stock bumpers) light bar and larger tires added about 670lbs to the "curb" weight. From what I have read it looks like stock it weighed about 5500 (with gas and 150lbs driver)
So that pushed it to about 6100 then ad 400 in people weight, fender flars differt fiberglass hood ect...

So really what it comes down to is the truck itself wound be about 10% (700lbs - 1k) over GVWR as it sits with the camper full of fresh water and a ad up to 450lbs of stuff in the camper.
