Default 2015 to 2018 Tow Mirrors

I just purchased a 2018 Keystone Cougar 22RBS trailer which is 8 feet wide. I need a pair of tow mirrors. My truck has the heated and power adjust factory mirrors with the 8 pin connector. I am not adding any features that I don't already have but want chrome covers. There are several aftermarket mirrors out there. I have included links to some and was wondering if anyone has experience with any of these. I want a good low price but don't want to buy junk either. I'm just looking for a little feedback. I have read some reviews and they talk about rough plastic castings, wind noise and distorted and shaky mirrors. The Trail Ridge mirrors are a lot more money but boast being of top quality.

Default Trail Ridge mirrors

I installed Trail Ridge powerfold tow mirrow on my 2017 XLT truck couple of months ago. Very pleased with them.
Check on 2015-2018 Area of this forum for thread on these mirrors and photos showing installs.

I have the modifystreet ones. They are okay. They dont shake and have no distortion. But they do have some wind noise.

That's the one you want. 1A Auto has been developing those since the 2015 first came out. At less than $500 for the pair, they are one-fourth the cost of OEM tow mirrors from Ford parts.

Smokey, I think you are correct about the Trail Ridge mirrors. We all know OEM pricing is way too high. After reading all the threads on the APA mirrors and the issues with them I think it's time to pull the trigger on these bad boys from A1Auto. This is one of those times that paying a bit more gives you more quality.

Did you think about going with the clip on mirrors like these. I bought them and the work good, look good and my truck still fits through the garage door. It also is not as wide in parking spaces when they are not on and I don’t have the big ears all the time when I only tow 10% of the time and only $50.00.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I had seen these mirrors before but you made some very good points as to why this was a better choice for me. Unless you are a full time RV'r there is no justification for dedicated tow mirrors. I'm new to the RV world but realistically I wouldn't be out there towing more than a couple of months a year. The cost of new tow mirrors is quite high, they are a problem if you are garaging your truck everyday and to some extent they probably cost more fuel because of additional wind resistance.
I just ordered a pair of these instead.

One other suggestion for those mirrors is when you are home and park your RV, store the mirrors in the RV that way if you forget to put them on and get 5 miles down the road you have them with you.

I can't thank you enough. You saved me hundreds of dollars and you have nothing but great practical suggestions.
