This is what I would expect. From past experience with previous trucks, the ride becomes more compliant and less stiff when towing or hauling.

I'll try a few different configurations and see which method works best with my setup. Stock bump stops, no air bags...only timbrens and only air bags. I'm most curious to see how it rides when I return the truck to stock and redo the wdh hitch.

Timbrens should have some give to them even when engaged. If they are super stiff, then it’s possible they could be the wrong set for the truck because there are a couple options out there for load capacity (aka stiffness). I looked and there are 3 options for my 2013, meaning 3 levels of capacity, the stiffest being designed for severe duty like slide in campers and salt spreader equipped trucks,
