my 2004 Lariat came with 4 pin connector so I had 6 pin installed and a prodigy p3 controller. The tech tells me this truck is not going to charge the battery and he was correct.

today was my first time towing my camper (just got the truck 6 months ago)

What do I need to do so I have power to my camper when the 6 pin is plugged in?

First off, I would have went with a 7 pin since most everything is going 7 pin. Next you will have to see if you have the relay and fuse in your fuse box under the hood that will supply 12V to the wire harness going to the back. Don't have much experience with an '04, but I know that's what you had to have on an '02 that I use to own.
