Default 2.7 payload package

I have the 2.7 payload package and the Trailer Tow Package on my 2018 truck. I’ve been wondering what is included overall.

Trailer Tow Package = 53A

You get:
4/7-pin Connector
Regular Duty Hitch
Radiator Upgrade
High Power Fans
Upgraded Front Roll Bar
Tow/Haul Mode
Trailer Sway Control
Engine Oil Cooler
Tailgate LED
Pro Trailer Backup Assist

The Trailer Brake Controller and 36 Gallon Tank could have been optioned separately, check your window sticker for the tank. If you've got the trailer brake controller, it will be below the 4x4/locker control under the vent to the right of the steering wheel.

Payload package: increased GVWR (6900lb I think, on the white door jamp sticker) so you get more payload. Payload is listed on the yellow sticker on the driver's door jamb. You get the HPP HD frame.

And you get bumped from the 8.8 to 9.75" axle I believe. Oh and you are forced to 3.73's.

Basically its a regular 3.5L or 5.0L truck with the 2.7L engine. Pretty cool truck, honestly.

Except you don't get the GVWR of the 3.5/5.0. Can't be letting the best selling engine steal sales from the bigger motors, now can we?

Hi where can I find this info? I'd like to find what's included in the max tow package & the trailer tech pkg. I'm shopping for a used 2019-ish king ranch & the vehicle descriptions are so inconsistent & the dealers (even Ford dealers) just don't know their own products. It seems most trucks that get the tow package also get the payload package- at least the ones I've been looking at have had both. Thanks for your help!

Up till 2020, the 5.0 engine did not automatically come with the 9.75".
As for 2021+, I am not sure.

Ask for a copy of the window sticker.

53A is listed as Trailer Tow Package
53B is listed as Class IV Receiver
53C is listed as Max Trailer Tow
