Why would someone need to decode their vin number? What would you learn that you didn't already know about your truck?

Default What a joke!!!

Sorry, I'm going to be brutally honest. An absolute stranger could learn more about my truck by a simple walk around vs using this. The only info given was year, engine and (wait for it); I HAVE A TRUCK!!! All other fields were blank, zip, nada, ZERO. Not at all what I expect fr an F150 site. Forgive me; but it's ludicrous. I LOVE irony; this may have made my day.

PS: A REAL VIN decoder exists here:

Have a NICE day all!!!

The VIN decoder will also appear as a hyperlink anytime a member posts a VIN to enable more accurate info when referencing VINs in sales threads or general conversation. We think the VIN Decoder will be a fun and useful tool for members, so check it out!

When you use it, an advertisement will pop up asking two random questions. Answer them. They're there to prevent bots and things like that from using it.
Hey guys, 1st time to this forum. I don't understand. I entered my VIN but it gave me wrong info. My 2012 F150 is a King Ranch and it's giving me results for another type... Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
