In recent weeks I've been having some trouble when replying to PMs.

I've sent a few, but they neither show up in my inbox in a threaded view, nor in my "Sent" folder. I'm honestly not sure if they're getting sent at all.

I've tried Chrome and Firefox, as well as on my Android. Nothing seems to work. Posting to forums works flawlessly.

Is this a known issue?

Go into your User CP, the under edit options make sure this box is checked or you will not get a copy in your sent messages folder.

After almost 20 years of participating in online forums you'd think I'd have it figured out...apparently NOT.

Thanks. I've made that change. I'm sure that's the solution.

In the 24 years I've been participating in forums, this is the only one where that option was not set on by default, I'm pretty sure an admin could fix it so it is but I'm not familiar with this particular forum software.
