reAlly easy since I had it disconnected already from the tank. I chose to disconnect the tank right above the frame in the wheel well as opposed to the top of the tank.

the filler neck is literally one 10mm bolt and the clamp for the filler tube and that’s it. Maybe took 2 min.

@Stadt I’m pretty sure the majority of stations around here don’t have a limit, I went to the closest station as I didn’t think I’d make it to the next one, lol.

I’ve always thought I’d do this swap myself but given some of these issues you had and my poor luck working on vehicles lately, I think I might hire it done when the time comes.

Just curious, what did you pay for the tank? I was quoted $225 today.

it really wasn’t horrible…I swear I read all the posts but after breaking the tab and doing more searching, I found better threads and more advice.

I think my tab was either broke or it broke as soon as I typed it, I knew how to remove it and still broke.

with my lessons learned, I think it would’ve taken me an hour to drop…took me about 30 minutes to install the tank and replace the filler neck…took me longer to put 4 gal of gas in.

ive been looking at car-part for over a year…finally found a local one with heat shield for $150.

i bought a new sending unit (pump) over a year ago and they are like half price now, lol. There are a lot of tanks out there if you are willing to drive, I have up driving after driving 3 times and only finding a 26 gal tank.

After the larger tank and towing…decided to go back to a factory block and RAS….went from 41 in the rear to 41.25 and I bet that settles a tad after I drive it

Dang you do a lot of suspension tweaks to your truck. I’m currently too lazy to finish my retractable strap setup, let alone keep changing things up. 😂😂

suspension and stuff is easy, I don’t have lights and stuff because I’m scared of electronics, lol.

I hear ya. I’m afraid I’ll short out the BCM and be really screwed.

Funny thing though, I probably flash my PCM and TCM 2-3 times per week. Constantly tweaking my boost curve, driver demand table's, and trans shift points. Just can’t seem to get things exactly where I want them. I’d be a nightmare customer for 5 Star or Goose. 😂😂

I’ll probably never update my forscan to show 36g DTE

Thought you had OCD? That’d drive me absolutely bonkers. 😂 It’s an easy update. FORScan in and of itself is pretty easy. Just follow the tutorial and ensure you have backups made. You can always revert to your backup.
